hi all, i have a 98 vw vr6 with a z-engineering supercharger. i have disconected the sc belt from the pulley and am currently running the car standard.................can any1 help me as to how to repair this???

the bearing has a number on it, get that and search for a replacement bearing.

you will more than likely need to disassemble the S/C to get the bearing number. if its a centrifugal, you need to be patient and make sure not to bend score or damage anything as these are precision balanced units.
If its an Eaton style S/C then you need to mark the parts on disassembly as the screw fans are timed to each other.

thanks rick.....im not too familiar with the s/c brands and i did see markings on the housing of the blower unit.....
i will remark them....but i did remove the alan key no.6 bolts but the unit does not want to come apart?

they are usually assembled with a type of sealant similar to loctite to prevent boost leaks, if you take a low temp torch like a propane one and go around the joints its should help to release it as it helps melt the sealant.
