I used to own a Trek Series 4 4300 Disc from 2007 with black and red(instead of black and grey). I had it stolen, I reported it stolen gave the SN and never heard back from the police. Here is the closest picture I can find to it:

http://kevlarninja.com/stuff/TREK-4300-Disc-2004.jpg

I don't know much about bikes but it was a pretty wicked bike!

I'm on the hunt for a new one, and was thinking I am just going to pick up a cheap bike from Crappy Tire for now(as I'm strapped for cash right now). Then when I can get more saved saved up I'm hoping to purchase another Trek bike, they are very reliable and very well built imo.

Bike I'm looking at:

CCM Torrent 2AL Dual XC (Sale: $299.99 // Red: $449.99 - 30% Off):
Brand Name - CCM
Frame Size - 16" (41 cm)
Frame Material - Aluminum
Wheel Size - 26" (66 cm)
Front Suspension - Yes
Rear Suspension - Yes
Speeds - 21-speed
Shifters - Shimano EZ-Fire
Front Brakes - Disc
Rear Brakes - Linear pull
Rear Derailleur - Shimano

http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/CanadianTire/0711549_1?$large$&defaultImage=image_na_EN

I'm just getting back into biking as it's been 3 years since I've ridden a bike, I know this is not of the highest quality but it seems pretty decent when I checked it out in store.

Well at least you stuck with the sport in general.

You more of a trail rider or dabble more on the DH side?
Also, seeing as you obviously must have liked the road side, ever looked into Cyclocross?
You get the amazingness of road with the twist of MTB!!

Gots same bike as ZorroAMG, still badged though but have put leather grips on and have different fork set...

http://www.telusplanet.net/public/slugs/CIMG0504-2.JPG

And yeah, that's a three inch spike in the back tire that came out of a full box of nails that bounced off of a flat deck truck that passed me while commuting home several years ago. Spike went in through the tread, came out, went back in the sidewall, pierced the inner tube and came back out the side wall. Was half ways between home and work without a patch kit and decided to try for home as the tube was quite thick rubber and wasn't leaking that much air. Rode another 4km and then had to walk the final 4 blocks home - patched things up and all was good.

I've dialed my position since my first post. With the road wheels it is 18.5lbs. I do all my riding on this 100-150km a week.

If I crack 170lbs (I am 200 right now) I'll get a dedicated road bike for racing. Right now I plan on racing a few road events on this ride next year.

To be honest, even if thats the case, and you want to bomb the pathways one day or are in an extremely lazy mood but want to ride, a brake will be godly haha..

I still have my norco for random trail riding where I won't be doing much. Broke my shoulder 5 days after getting the Devinci. Hit a jump, stuck it, then went off the trail a couple inches into tall grass and my bike got swallowed by a huge hole...Probably the hole that got dug to get dirt for the jumps...Completely invisble in 3 foot high grass but whatever, bike is ok, I took 3 weeks to feel somewhat back to normal and now a month and three weeks later I'm almost 75% i'd say.

I wouldn't dare commute or anything with this bike, quite a bit heavier than my 4hun, and with the suspension the way it is it's a bitch to bike uphill...But she's fun when going downhill though. Can't wait to hit C.O.P. next spring.

I can't wait to see SWAKs pics (**EDIT: starting to wonder if he's not allowed to post pics because he rides for someone). Went to Bow cycle for the first time about 2 months ago and I was really impressed. Parts on racks for components and etc.... Like NAPA for bikes.

What are you talking getting sick of Canmore parks?????
You got the f-'in Nordic Centre!!!
I'd be soooooo damn stoked to have that 10 min away!!!!

But of course i can post pics haha... Not gonna post the pics which look like more of a mug shot (so that means one shitty TT pic), but i'll post my bikes and that when i get home.

haha... yea i hear you there. The nordic centre park isn't too big, but it is pretty fun at the same time (good after a day of xc riding).
That and Soft Yogurt as a preride to devonian drop is effin sweet!
Love it out there.

I was marshalling a race 2 yrs ago there and some jr. rider was riding his cross bike in the race. That takes balls as it was mostly Blue beluga, laundry chutes, devonian and many other technical parts in the race.

But being more of a roadie, i appreciate the xc a whole lot. Not as much of a park rider, but definitely wont turn it down.

Yeah I'm with cyclemeisters, but really new (like this year new, haha). Primarily a roadie, not particularly fast though.

My new beast for this year. I only got it out twice last fall when it showed up.

Its proportions hide it's sheer size. This thing next to my old 23" commuter just dwarfs it. At least half a foot longer. Finding a bike carrier for a 23" 29er was a beatch. I can't wait to get it out this year!
