Hi guys,

I'm hoping you guys can help me find my dog. He escape from the yard around sunday night in Riverglen Drive, but was last seen around Riverrock Road. Hes small but puffy little guy, he has a JWL followed by 3 numbers tattoo on his belly. His name is Dexter.

Please call 403 830 9988 or 403 470 1966 if you find him or know where his about.

Please help me find him. I will give a $2,000 reward for his safe return.

Poster the area, and do that daily as some get torn down. Offer a reward as well, no point in not doing everything possible while the time is short from the big escape.

I would never take a reward personally BUT it might make someone but a little more effort into catching the dog than without a reward.

Check Craigs, Kijiji, etc hourly as your dog might come up for sale, the dog might have bolted OR been stolen. Both do happen.

You know, every time I hear someone say that, I think it's cold hearted to get another one right away... but then, with such a vacant hole in your life without a pup, I can also understand why it's also a good idea.

Thanks for your kind words everyone. He was my little boy, but it wasn't me who lost him. We dropped him off at the gf's friend house for her to watch him because we were leaving for vacation, but 3 hours later we received a call saying that he was missing, then a few days later got the call saying that he didn't make it...

So it ruined our vacation and everyone else who came with us, at this point I don't really care about anything. But life moves on, were are in the process of getting another puppy hoping that he could replace the empty hole in my heart.

And i'm still thinking wether or not to take legal actions against this person. Any thoughts?

I know you're hurt, but that's just wrong man. I'm sure her friend didn't let him out on purpose. If you cared THAT much for the dog, you would have put it up in a proper kennel. Don't be a dick.

I dont think you can take legal action in this situation, but from what you have posted so far, something doesn't seem right.

You get a call the dog is missing, and then they found him dead. It sounds more like the dog ate something or was fed something he shouldn't have and died.

I dont know if its even possible, but if this was my dog, I would be trying to arrange for a autopsy at a vet or something to find out how the dog really died. I mean its not that cold out right now, I dont get how a missing dog can be found dead in just a few days unless it was hit by a car or attacked by a bigger dog.

Yah, not to get to personal but how did he die?

If he just got out of the yard and was hit by a car then I don't think a lawsuit is appropriate, which is probably what most of us assume happened. You haven't really disclosed what happened then are talking a lawsuit so I think that is why some of us are wondering what the heck happened...

This person was the one would begged us to let her watch our dog while were on vacation, 3 hours later she lost him. An autopsy is being done on him this week, in the meantime no legal actions has been taken.

If anything she should atleast pay for our new dog!

just ask her to get you a new dog, but don't bother with the legal issues. not worth the stress
