Look what I found the other day. Amazing! I love spring/summer for the nice cars that come out and play.

That's a nice 356, I wonder if it's real.

edit: just looking it up more - 356C (1963-65/66) 16,678 units produced.

Love the 356s.

Ken King of Concept1 has a pretty sweet pre-A that he restored a couple years ago.

Great spotting, I wonder why this type of threads are getting pretty rare, now most spottings are of a douchy parking jobs at Walmart or, Police officers enjoying a cup of coffee at Tim horton, and the latest about HIDs.

Man the concept 1 pics makes the car even look more sexy, love the color  .

Anyone know what that color is? I didn't see the Concept 1 car there. You might be thinking of some other company that had 356s there; they do 'reproductions' (including one with a 1.8T swap  ).

I can't remember their name, though.

edit: according to the linked story about the Concept 1 356, the paint code is "graphite metallic grey." (#5403)

I believe Ken's 356 is painted a factory color. Interesting to note that he bought a 997 Carrera and through the factory paint to sample program had it painted the same color as his 356.

As for the red 356, I believe it belongs to a former president of the Porsche Club.....also named Ken.

The company that does reproductions is called Intermeccanica

http://www.intermeccanica.com/

They are more than just a "kit car" company. They are a custom coach builder and have been around since 1959. They have built their own cars for auto shows and had joint ventures with major car makers for special models.

Here is their "Indra" from the early 70's

And the "Italia" from the 60's
