i am looking to buy a car that will last me my university years (4-8 years) and i just want to get some insight on what car you would buy. factors that i am considering in include looks in the future, how reliable it will be, and decent performance.

currently i am stuck between

2002-2004 honda civic sir
rsx type s
2004 maxima 6 speed

if there are anymore suggestions, will be appreciated.

It'd be tough to find a RSX type S with your budget so don't get your hopes up on that. You're probably better off with an RSX Premium instead.

A civic will probably be your best bet among the options you gave.

Ever thought about 5th gen Preludes? (1997-2001). They can be had for your price range, they have enough performance and looks to give you a good start.

Good luck with your car hunt.

Some cars I might look at would be a Prelude (as mentioned above), integra gsr, IS300, LS400, 2006 civic, accord, subaru legacy or impreza, and definitely check out an srt4.
