2005 Pontiac Pursuit 4 door

Had problems with drivers' window for about a year now, it has been snagging up a bit on the front site of the glass, not rolling up/down properly without a manual push with my hand ... up or down ... no big deal, I have dealt with it for this long..

Today I rolled it up and heard a snap ... window and handle no longer work together - I can hear the arms inside the door rolling up and down, but they are not attached to the glass.
At this point to get my window to close and stay closed I had to lift the glass by hand, turn the window crank to the closed position, and i could feel it catch on the bottom of the glass ... it holds it in place, but I now have no control of the window

Any thoughts as to repairs or even at least a temporary fix until I can afford to have GM fix it?

Its an easy fix, just pop the door cover and put the window back on track.

Yeah, dont worry about that "snap" sound you heard.. was probably the wind

You might need a new track for the window, or a new mounting bracket. Pop the panel and Pick N pull whatever you need :)

(or purchase said parts online)

He did say he can hear the track go up and down when cranking, so the sound might just be the window jumping off track

I've broken a few of these things in other cars. Its most likely the mount on the bottom of the glass that has broken from the pressure of the tight frame.

got pics ... will upload to a proper server in a few mins ... in the meantime link to the 2 pics on my facebook, for those that can access it

OK so popped the door open when i got home from work ...
The plastic clamps that go over the glass - one of them had removed itself therefore there was nothing holding the regulator to the glass. Put it back on, put it all back together - same prolem, except where that plastic clamp attaches to the regulator - there is a track with a wheel - horizontal below the window

There is the side that is still intact and good...

There is what I found remaining of the plastic wheel that holds the X part of the regulator to the horizontal track. Seems it has broken ito 3 pieces.

At this point I see nothing else wrong except for that, and it would make sense for the issues I have been having - front side seemed to catch a bit opening and closing ... duh wheel not a circle anymore so it was not rolling, therefore catching.... the snap I heard earlier must have been it snapping right off of the riveted piece on the end of the X ...

So ... problem figured out - now that brings up more issues ...
Where could I purchase JUST this wheel? I can't really justify spending the money on a whole new regulator setup when it is just this little plastic piece...
