Okay here we go .
LOL

1994 Honda Civic Si (Coupe)
6-haQ_XGVfI
Exhaust Video / Drive By

So, i'm looking for peoples opinions on what you think i should do.
I plan on keeping this car for awhile,
i put it up for sale for 4000, no real offers,
just trying to get what i put into it out of it .

I wanna make it a head turner,

If i plan on putting some money into it.
I wanna go with something along the lines of

-Coilovers
-New Rims
-Fix the rust (pictures below)
-New Paint
-Swap Engine
-New Seats
-Black Interior
-Fogs/Side Markers

So its got
D16z6 Engine
-Megan Racing Drift Spec Exhaust
-No Name Short Ram
Del Sol Rims
Alpine Type S Speakers (Fronts)
Alpine Deck
Neuspeed Lowering Springs 1.5 front 1.7 back i think.
pretty much it.

You know, something that can be admired at meets and stuff.
something thats not going to cost me 15grand but subtle and nice .

The engine runs strong right now, occasionally i have to top up maybe, 500ml of oil every 1000-2000 km's or so until oil change at 3-5000km.

Mechanically everything is sound.
Just little things here and there.
Interior is MINTY
Paint is in good condish, but could be better,
Would really like some extra power, maybe some torque ???
B18 swap,
maybe b18c1,
most likely b18b, plug and play .
maybe find one thats been ls/vtec'd

what do you all think ?
If i plan on doing this, i am keeping this car until it blows,
or rusts to shit .
i love this car to death . i wanted a 240sx so bad, but i would really like to make my car a well known clean ej1 in calgary .
I haven't seen many really clean ej's, so nows my chance.
I've owned it for a year now and not once has it ever failed me !

Input please !

Thanks everyone
-Chase

chase, i say keep your car. trust me i sold my eg hatch and i got bit by the bug 5 months after selling it. it seems more often then not people always miss their civics. youve got an awesome base with very little rust and your car sounds amazing as is. the plans you have for it are very reasonable and cheap. but thats just my opinion. if you need motivation creep some forums for pictures of ubber clean ej1's

Thanks guys,
the only thing that worries me is the rust .
I wanna get rid of it asap, but ...
i duno what to do .
the easiest way, which isn't going to cost an arm and a leg .
i wanna pull the bumpers off, and just check everything sometime this weekend or something .

But thanks for the input .
I'm considering keeping it for now,
and when the time comes, where i have enough money, im going to get a couple nice mods and then keep it clean .

I say go ahead and make your rust repair the priority on the car. If you get it fixed properly, trust me, you won't regret it!!

The only other option would be to sell it and buy one with no rust at all. I was in your situation a year ago with a 96 hatch. I sold it and bought a EK coupe with no rust at all, i could be happier :)

Yeah, but i haven't seen any coupes with no rust,
i'm not a real big fan of the hatches either .
does anyone have experience with rust repiar ?
i just wanna get it fixed and possibly paint the car before i start anything .

Well, it would go coils, rims first, then engine, then paint with rust repair somewhere in between.

Can't say it about the 92-95 gen, but the 96-00 EK civic coupe seems to be "much" less prone to rust than any older civic, not sure why? I see clean coupes all the time.

Mine doesn't even have one bubble, anywhere!!

Depends on how much you are willing to spend on the car.

all that rust repair and a quality paint job will easily go way over 4K

I think you should sell the car and buy a Nissan. Just a hunch.

IMO it is not worth investing that kind of money in a car like that. Been there, done that. In the end a old car is a old car and stuff will always break and your money invested will be gone as there is absolutely no increase to re-sale value.

I had a 94 coupe civic made just the way I wanted it, it had no rust at all and to me it was one of the nicest around. After a while and always fixing random things, I sold it, took a hit (but no regrets) and in the end I now drive a much nicer and newer car :)

Like the last few posters are saying, take the money you can get from selling the car and from the planned modifications and just get a better car.

Alright thanks guys .
You know, right now, i would really like to get my hands on a nice AWD rust free vehicle . I just don't think i can get 4000 for my car .
What do you guys say ?

What should i ask .

Personally that is the ONLY Civic I like, and I like them a lot. So to me I would fix it up. Deetz, nice car, wouldnt be too far off what I would do if I had one.
