A friend got this deal, since he has a club card. Just wondering if anyone else has a card that I can book the hotel under.

Can't you just register for one now?

You could register for one but you won't get the deal just based on the fact you registered for one.

Usually to get those deals you have to have a gambling history which would be detailed on the card.

Not to mention that it's not transferrable, so even if you had someone else's card you couldn't make a reservation with it under your name.

well the deal is in plain view on their website and just says you need to be a member, with a registration link right below it...:dunno: more than likely they are dead as most vegas hotels are right now and they also want your email to spam you with offers...

I got one, let me find it later today... PM me to remind me please, i wil forget about this

Edit: Thinkin about this, they take your licence to make you an MGM players card so I do not think this is going to work, since they have all of your information in the system...

Usually the really good deals like getting a free deluxe suite won't happen unless you spend thousands in the hotel. When I say thousands I mean you are in the $1000 minimum blackjack rooms.

Not true AT ALL. My parents haven't paid for a hotel room in vegas in 4 or 5 years. (And these are in hotels like MGM and the bellagio) They go 2-3 times a year and my mom plays slots (anything from the $0.01 to the $1 slots, but nothing over that) and my dad plays a combination of $5 slots and under as well as *some* blackjack, but certainly not a $1000 limit table. Your points are accumulated not only on what you put in, but what you get out as well. So if you put $20 into a machine and play it back and forth for 2 hours (not always possible, but if you have luck on your side it isn't all that unusual) you aren't getting $20 worth of credits, you could be getting a few thousand dollars worth of credits.

However, booking with someone else's card won't work. They will make the reservation under that name and you need to show ID when you check in. It's to prevent things like this from happening. If your friend who has the card calls them and says they have friends coming with them and need a room, the hotel will generally give you a 'casino rate' which depending on the days of the week and time of the year, can range from $99-$200 a night.

Yep once we went and my mom played with only a $1000 USD budget for 3 days on slots.. somehow that ended up comping our hotel room + the buffet.

But yeh the deal is not transferable... just go once, sign up for a players card, play $100 worth of slots. and you will be getting all the member special emails for years to come... NYNY for $39... MGM for $79.... Encore for $99...

For my first trip down to Vegas, my girlfriend's family friend booked us a room at the MGM under his "host." I'm not sure entirely how it worked, but the host just gave us some code to us when we booked and got an insane rate.

Also, buying in for large amounts, and then playing the $10 BJ tables, there are virtually no $5 BJ tables, min betting can get your "rep" up quickly as well.

You actually buy in for a large amount (Like $1000 -$2000) then for the first 10-20minutes so the host can track that ur playing for $50+ a hand then when they write it down, just reduce ur bet to $10/hand....
