That was insane but those guys were idiots - when the fire broke out, it could've exploded the car. There was still a 1/4 tank of gas.

On top of that it was the overheating that killed it not the motor coming apart.......
Still a shame though, that car was a 89+, the engine parts are better for build ups out of those years, and to thrash them is just kinda stupid, especially with good core motors getting harder and harder to get...Max

You can see right at the beginning the idiot left the rad cap off.. the thing probably would have ran for 30mins at 9000 before the guy realized he was on fire..

Had the rad cap been on, that thing would have went until the gas ran out - 2 words - rev limiter. Holy shit stuff like that pisses me off. Give the car to someone who will appreciate it. Major bummer shit man.

I heard that when I watched the vid the first time, but that's not THAT difficult of a repair job. Its a fair bit of work to open up the block, but it's certainly not something that would junk a car. Hell even if they did decide they didn't want to repair it they could have given it to one of the neighbourhood kids as a project car or part it out. What they did was just stupid.
