Theyre a complete rip off, I know a couple people who work in their asset management dept and their markup on fragrances ranges anywhere from 200-300% eah bottle. Ex - Bottle they may sell for say $100, they buy anywhere from $25-40. Ya i know they jack up the price cause they haev to pay for overhead, branding yada yada yada, but when you think of it theres no real advantage buying from them. Aside from what? Getting harassed by every staff member there wanting you to sniff 164 different scents?

Instead go buy from the smaller privately owned shops (lots in calgary), I can gaurentee you that most if not all will bargain. They just as us, know how much profit they make on fragrances so of course taking some off is no loss to them. Plus they give you your time and space, they dont hound you like a buncha hungry dogs.

Ive been shopping at the Perfume Gallerie in bankers for the past few years or so and each time I get a generous discount just because these smaller shops want your business. I got this right from day one. You almost never get a sale at dept stores...and when they do have it, it isnt even that great....a whole $5 off aftershave with the purchase of overpriced cologne woo wee!

Whereas places like the Bay are wwwwwwway overpriced. My last 3 bottles i bought I saved well over $20+ on each one compared to the Bay! For what I paid i got 3 bottles, at the bay i would have got 2 of the 3!

Well locally perfume gallerie in bankers is great. Theres another small one in the NW crowfoot area but dont remember the name.

For online check out
beautymarkcorp

theyre located just outside Toronto. They dont have the biggest selection but they can special order stuff and great customer service. ive bought from them in the past and they ship fast!

EBAY is good IF you can find a legit retailer that ships to canada, most do not.

I just got back from the Caribbean and the deals there are ridiculous. 3 bottles (literally an unlimited selection) for $24 USD.

The alcohol was also dirt cheap. 2L of Goose for $50. I wanna move there...

I buy Cologne and booze at the duty free shops at US airports.

I bought a bottle of Jean Paul Gaultier Cologne last year for $40us I thought it was a smashing deal considering I paid 50% of what I would have paid at the Bay

Not sure thats really news. That's why the perfume counter and cosmetics have the best location in every department store. It's the profit margin.

Some winner who posted asking how to get out of some tickets. If I remember rightly, he was driving an uninsured car without a license, above the speed limit.

I don't know why would buy cologne at all, They have sample bottles of each at the department stores which last me almost a week of everyday use, and if you grab one of each you only need to restock every few months. Just mack on one of the sales girls and she will hook you up

The last few I have picked up have been in the US. I have gotten a few from costco and some stuff on sale at like london drugs or such.

I'm honestly not shocked by this, plus, things like cologne doesn't get use up that fast anyways. I'm sure there's A LOT more things in retail that have a markup > 300%.

Listen to the people who say eBay...I've bought just about every cologne and aftershave I own off of eBay...recently got a 200mL bottle of CKOne for $20 including shipping.

Someone else might be able to shed light on this, but I've been told never to buy from a different country though because customs sometimes won't let the cologne pass since it's flammable?

Regardless, even if you look for only Canadian sellers there is a decent selection out there at great prices.

I forgot to mention in the OP that I have a couple colognes that I want to get rid of. Im looking to get rid of both to the same person. Its 75ml (about 3/4 left) Versace blue jeans and 75ml (about 1/3 left) D&G light blue, if anyones interested pm me. Im probably only looking for say $30 for both. They smell just like when i first bought them cause i keep the caps on mine at all times and i actually keep them in a mini fridge (preserves its health)

Dang....it's 2010 and you are still wearing CKOne!?!? There's a reason it was $20 including shipping...just saying...
