I've phoned around to a few shops, and no-one seems to carry them? National4WD doesn't, and a couple shops like Truckessories and such. Anyone know where I could find a set of 5100's?

Thanks Victor, I'll look into it. I want to go with the 5100's to level out my truck. I can't really lift it, as it's the family hauler, and my wife has a hard time getting in already. I mentioned a 3-inch lift, and got a dirty look.

How are you going to level out? Spacers?

5100's are able to pre-load the springs to provide up to a 2.5" lift. I'd only go the 1inch lift though, just to level the front and rear.

Hey there Zman,

There's a few of us over at CT4WD that run these. I had to order mine from here: http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-135613-bilstein-5100-series-2005-2010-toyota-tacoma-pre-runner-4wd-front-pre-load-adjustable.html

I'm not sure where the others sourced theirs. When I purchased mine it was around $200.00 shipped. Fronts only.

As for any increased height, chances are your wife won't even notice the change - I run my Billy's at 2.5 and my wife didn't even notice the slight increase in height.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Hounddog. I've already contacted downsouthmotorsports. Looks like they are the cheapest option to get the fronts now. I may hit up eBay for the rears, not sure yet. I think a matching set is probably a little better than stock rear shocks anyways.

As for the height, my wife pointed something out to me yesterday. She reminded me that I do alot of "taxi" work for my mother-in-law. She's over 70, and not as spry as she used to be. For now, I'll probably stick with the leveling, but maybe down the road, when the situation changes, I'll raise it up a bit. Thanks for the info.

That sounds like a good plan - you'll achieve a level "stance" to your truck as well as maintaining a friendly access/exit for your passengers.

You might be able to buy some through a nissan dealer. They are factory equipment on the Pro-4x's
