I was looking for some protein powder but I notice they all have aspartame or some artificial sweetener in it. Can anyone recommend me a powder that is all natural? I would think that is the way to go, unless some powders use negligible amounts of the sweetener then maybe it doesn't matter?

Also I was told its good to mix both whey and vegetable protein powder into my smoothies or whatever I make. Is that the best thing to do in general?

I'm just starting to get back into a regular work out routine and plan on having smoothies for breakfast and after a workout, so I don't need anything special or specific I don't think. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to supplements of any kind. My goal is to cut 10lbs or so of fat by the end of May, i'm 5'10" ~180lbs now and want to be back around 168lbs.

Thanks in advance!

You down with stevia? Whey Gourmet has one. Naturelle is what its called.

Whey Gourmet (http://www.wheygourmet.com/)

Or you can probably just find whey powder with nothing in.
Biox (http://www.supplementscanada.com/popeyes/product3575.html)

Both of those look good - thanks guys. I'll probably just buy whatever is cheaper assuming it all does the same thing.

So I picked up some Whey Gourmet Naturelle, blueberry pomegranate flavor. That stuff is absolutely delicious, I could eat it with a spoon no problem and it has no artificial sweeteners. Thanks for the suggestion. Pricey though at $33/1.5lb, but worth it as long as it doesn't taste like saw dust haha.

I've been making my shakes with frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, one full banana, blueberry pomegranate juice, blueberry or strawberry Activia yogurt, and 1-2 scoops of this protein powder. The powder makes the shake nice and thick, its awesome.

That site is badass, can mix your combination of fats and proteins, etc.

That sounds good where did you get it?

Superstore, specifically the one in Deerfoot Meadows, but I'd imagine all of the Superstores have it. There is a lot of other flavors too.

I haven't tried too many other powders, but this is the only one I've tried that tastes good and not like sawdust. That is just a bonus though, because I mostly wanted something without artificial sweeteners.

Has anyone tried hemp protein? I saw it in stores and was curious.
