650hp nissan 350z wrecks at 300 kmph

how fast was home boy going? I couldnt really tell but it looked like 300. And DAM the car looked totalled and the guy got to walk away looking fine except it kinda looked like his left ear was ripped off or something in one part.

That's messed up! Yeah, I'd definitely like to know what the hell was going on there - as far as I could tell they were driving it with the pedal flat for as long as possible... did they expect this to end differently?? :dunno: That guy is lucky to be alive and relatively unscathed.

i forget where i found the video but they said that one of the tires blew out and that's what sent him into the spin/roll.

Was the speedo marked at 100, 200, 300 and 400? If so, he lost it going around 240km/h... OUCH!

edit - did some google'ing, the goal of the car was to AVERAGE 360km/h. They barely hit 355km/h before the winds started slowing them back down to 330km/h when the tire went flat... slow motion'd the video, and he went off the road at 250km/h. Jesus.

ok the commentator was talking first about how the car they were using wasnt really ment to be driven straight fast. but daijiro (one of the driver for video option who always do these crazy high speed stuff) said the car was pretty stable.
they hit 334km/h and then the tire blew

the commentator was saying how dai was lucky because he rolled so much so far without the car catching on fire.
the car gave up when he slowed down to 240km/h.
the roll bar, seat and the netting saved his life

I originally saw still pictures of this a long time ago. It's nice to see the video attached to show what really happened. Damn luck he slowed the car a lot before losing control.

This just makes me want to do crazy things to my 350z. Hmmm...
