How do I stop junkmail into my superbox. This week alone I have received 1 letter and 30 pieces of junk mail.

Can I call Canada Post? I dont think I can stick a sticker on the outside that says no junk mail. Can I stick one inside? What can I do, it is a waste of paper as I just recycle it anyways.

I always enjoy taking it all and putting it back in the mail box, maybe you can get a stamp that reads something like "wrong address" or "return to sender". Sometimes I'll take one of those postage paid envelopes and stuff it full of junk mail and send it off to the credit card company that sent me the prepaid envelope.

I don't know if it still works, but my uncle (who worked in direct marketing at the time) would wrap up a brick or phone book in parcel paper and attach the letter to it, and write 'return to sender'. Because they have to pay the return postage for the extra weight, direct mailers were pretty quick to remove him off of the mailing lists.

This actually works - I've just started getting junk mail again after three years (which is how long it 'works' for).

Not sure if it's Canada wide yet (didn't read in detail), but it started in Vancouver

You can try to dig up the number for your local depot...

Best advice - Leave a nice note (they love to get cards!) in your box for your letter carrier. Use pleases and thankyou's.

They'll put a red dot on your box, and you'll only get the gov't stuff, suburban journal (your community newsletter) and addressed junkmail...

(yes I asked my wifey - she might be the one filling your box - you should see the pile she's got to coalate tonight).

The red dot has worked for me for the last couple/few years.

Just dump it back into the mail slot... that's what I do. Sure, it'll come back, but at least it never reaches my house.
