2010 250R SE(green) along with a couple of my friend's. Pitot took the pic as well as owns the red 09 250. First year riding it's been a blast. Not a bad bike at all, wringing out it's neck and bringing her up to redline constantly makes riding quite fun.

Nice 250R - smart choice for a first bike! Better to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow, right?

Yeah, the M4 (well, any GP pipe for that matter) is ridiculously loud. I don't mind a loud exhaust, but my head would be killing me after even a short ride. That, and I just felt stupid ripping around.

Thankfully, they do make a silencer for it. I have it installed now and I think it's perfect. Still louder than stock, and with a nice growl, but my head doesn't hurt anymore and I can actually ride around in the power zone without drawing more attention than needed.

i like how the gp pipes clean up the ass end of the bike though, especially the look of the m4. does the silencer come with the exhaust, or does it come separate?

Yeah, I really like the look as well. Mine did not come with the silencer. It was $40 (shipped), but maybe you can get whoever you're buying it from to throw one in. :dunno:

I didn't think I needed it, which is why I didn't get one off the bat, but if you're concerned with it being too loud just get it.

It's possible. I live in Sunalta, so there are times when I'm on 17th, however, I usually avoid it because there's a group that is known for "crusing" the avenue, and I'd prefer not to mistaken for one of them. lol

Nice Gladius you have there. My wife has the same bike, but in the reddish pink color.

(What fender kit did you get? I've been wanting to get one for the wife.)

I always wanted an old SV650 when they came out but never really liked the way the headlight was incorporated. So I love my bike now. I took the exhaust off too, made a huge difference because the cat remains so it isn't very loud. Took the mirrors off, getting a rear seat cowl, GSXR shock swap etc. Check this place out for ideas. http://forum.svrider.com/forumdisplay.php?f=60

its actually a 96 with 30,080kms on it. the previous owner(51 yrs old) owned it for 10+ years and for the past 2 years he didnt really ride it a lot bec. he owns a cruiser now.

it is in good shape except for some scratches on the right side, but he touch it up. and also he did put a brand new set of tires and battery so i cant complain.

Among the new plastics will be a solo cowl. Its a toughy. 10% of the girls out there are comfortable riding on the back of a bike. I've only had a passenger perhaps twice, so its kind of redundant, but yeah I took the rear pegs off. (Dunno about you guys, but no guy is "riding" behind me Lol)

This is the new paint scheme, only with the same red as what I have (too cheap to repaint my tank LOL)

Opinions? suggestions? still in the design phase, so please give me any input before I finalize the design and have it made.
Probably chrome the lips of the rims too, new covers for the engine all the way around. CF mirrors too.

I like that paint scheme! Would look nice with white rims and red rim tape.

Regarding girls on the back, I guess I'm lucky - my wife hated riding bitch, so she got her own damn bike. :D

Flat black looks awesome

Where do you get automotive paint?

I have a paintbooth in my shop, but all I spray there is wood! lol

Me and a friend are thinking of spraying his chopper flat black, any tips?

Got it from advance auto
Its from SEM honda black bumper paint
And I used SEM low luster clear coat
Mind you these were in spray cans

Its all in the prep work. I just used 300 and 400 grit on the fairings.

Take your time, keep your distance and bomb away

That or gold, or at least the same shade of gold as the rest of the hardware. :dunno: Perhaps with a white & red pinstripe in the lip.

This is a cool set too.... :dunno:

The cool thing about these Ebay Vendors, is their factories in China can do ***ANY*** design you can think of, literally at no extra cost. Everything is customizable. So the sky is the limit really. Case in point the one in the link.
They can do anything for any bike out there really

^have you had any experience with chinese replica fairings before? they are not as flexible as the oem ones so sometimes crack while flexing during installs, and are often quite difficult to fit on properly

^ I have a friend in Kelowna that test fitted a set, and they're a perfect fit, and almost identical as OEM in terms of flexibility.

I know what you're saying though, I've imported a body kit from China, and man... EVERY piece was either too long or too short by 1/2".

^^ ya thats what i heard the china shit is exactly that...shit. but if you can find the "OEM" plastics man that would be nice. those plastics in the link are fuckin sweet minus the flames, thats just me though, i hate flames.

+1 for gold wheels, -1 for flames. That red/white paint scheme would look sick with gold wheels.

The China stuff can be crap, but can also be pretty good. I have a buddy with a ZX10R that has a West racing China body on it, and its awesome. How do you know what China companies provide good fitting plastics?

Yep I agree with that. Some of my buddies fairings started to melt/warp from a warm day and sitting in traffic.

the replicas are made out of a completely different plastic, and unfortunately melting from engine heat is quite common for them

Its hard, so he tested a few and found a very reputable company, hes brought in a few for a bunch of different bikes. Its not just 675's he does. Hes done a few for a ZX10's and what not. I'd love to post his email, but I dont want to come across as a sponser. He just does this on the side for other enthusiasts.
