some asshat ran into one of our cars (brand new) in a parking lot and left 3 giant scratches in the bumper. called the police, and after almost 2 months of waiting for paperwork, etc., we finally got the go ahead to fix it and his insurance will pay it.

I just heard this and haven't looked into it that much yet, but can you guys tell me if the insurance pays the entire bill, or if they have limits for certain types of damage?

Also, what is the best body shop in the city, assuming cost isn't an issue.

Thanks

In the top right of your current screen there is this red button called "search". It is a pretty user friendly user interface, of course this is under the assumption you are not too lazy to use it.

They will give you a list of "approved" shops they deal with, if you choose to go to another shop they will send out an appraiser to estimate how much it will be. The appraised amount is what you will get if you take it to a shop they do not have on their list.

You can usually up the appraised amount with little effort, if needed. Bring them estimates from some other noteworthy places if you feel their appraisal will not cover the full damage.

OK, well in this case, the insurance company does NOT have a list of preferred shops. so, what is the BEST shop in the city.

get off your lazy ass instead of expecting people to just hand you the answer. Read through the above posted threads and decide for yourself since the question you are asking is one of opinion instead of fact.

so fuck off and do some leg work.
