A couple years ago, one of the guys that worked at visions on macleod had one, it was sitting in the install area every time I went in there. That was over 3 years ago now though.

The parents of my friends wife have a Delorean, and I had the opportunity to drive it. It had a Volvo engine, which was extremely anemic. It drove like a 1970 GMC pick up truck, except without the power. It was extremely heavy, handled poorly (calling the handling poor is generous) and had almost no power. It was truly uninspiring.

On the plus side, people look at you like you are from Mars, and the gullwing doors are cool. Whoever thought to make a car with a stainless steel body was on crack. (Actually I think John Delorean was a coke trafficer, but close enough).

God awful cars, but kind of funky.

Not a bad idea, but aluminum is a bit cheaper and lighter, if not quite as strong.

There was one always parked on 17th Ave SE a couple years ago. Haven't seen it since though.

Yeah I was talking to that guy about a month back. He told me he was selling it and will buy a BMW or Merc.
