I've been interested in these lenses for a while, but haven't had the opportunity to try one out. I can't find anyone in town that rents them (TCS and Vistek both don't). It seems like shame to rent one from the US as it'd be a $200 round trip to try one out for a week.

I've been debating between a 28mm 3.5 PC (shift only $400), and an 85mm 2.8 Micro PC (Tilt and shift, $800). I'd prefer a wide angle, but the Micro and tilt features would be nice to have on the 85mm.

And before anyone says to just use Photoshop, I'm not looking to do the miniature effect.

Anyone here have one, or know of a local place to rent one? Experiences? Comments?

I've owned the 45mm + 85mm PC-E lenses.

Just saw you are shooting D700.

What questions were you looking to have answered?

Mainly "Is anyone who currently owns one willing to meet up and let me try it before I drop $800 on one" :)

Ohhhh ok.

Well I'll be purchasing the 24mm PC-E in about a week, PM me or else I'll be too busy to remember to say anything to you.
