So the clutch is almost shot and the new clutch kit finaly arived at my house so its going to get torn out on sunday and figured there are probably a few that have done this before and can give A few pointers that I wish I would of known beforehand.

The car is a G limited so it has a non turbo 3sge with the 5sfe transmission.

Put the bolts in order and mark the holes they go into. It can get confusing when re assemblying it all.
Don't force the prying apart of the tranny from the motor. Take your time.
Clean off the guide pins too before re assembly. Helps with getting it together.

I threadlock all bolts holding the clutch just for precaution.

Those are ones off the top of my head.

Ya I forgot to mark my bolts. Should make for an interesting reassembly.

Clean everything meticulously, brake cleaner, brake cleaner, and more brake cleaner. Not sure how it is in the eclipse, but typically your bell housing will be nasty. I used a whole can of orange engine cleaner on my bell housing to make sure it was spotless.

I've heard from multiple sources, it's easier to pull whole engine to do clutch rather than just the transmission.
