I will do my best to ensure secret street also has auto-x setup in the oval this year every single night I can possibly arrange it.

:( apparently the oval is in pretty bad shape from the rig races this past year, an inspection will have to be done this weekend to see if it's even possible without risking alot of damage...............maybe Art can be convinced to patch up some of the really bad spots, we'll see.

once u find out how the car does on the 1/4 mile then u gotta bring it to auto-x so we can see what u as a driver can do:thumbsup:

that course is not very good with my car since I have too much rear camber and the race suspension is too low when switching from the oval to the infield.

I tried last year and ended up losing one of my front inner fender liners when transitioning from on section to the other.

I`ll stick with the other side of the stands, it`s built for road racing.

...............if i'm down there doing auto-x in the oval and I have someone to cover me I'd consider racing you, i've got a D16 with an intake and a slightly large stock shape muffler(no fart cannons allowed on my cars lol).

custom tune or stock or an early death to the motor............I personally recommend Vex performance in Red Deer, they have a very talented tuner and a good dyno.

What? I have no idea what you just said right now..

Its a handheld tuner that changes different octane settings. Its hardly harmful to the engine, Infact itll actually help the engine.

It doesnt need to be dyno tuned at all, Its just a plug and play flash tuner where it flashes the memory on the computer and puts in a different setting.

I saw lots of mustang gt's running mid 14's when i ran last year, unless yours has a few mods

Not many more mods than a regular gt other than intake and exhaust..

extra 15hp, But with my new tune i should be running more, I dunno i guess ill see im going to say im gonna run high cuz ive never ran at the track before but i suppose will see. Hopefully the lights and times dont go out like usual.

and i really hope i dont need a helmet as i probably wont even break into the 13s

i dont think your car is under 14. a mustang gt runs mid 14s with full exhaust. but helmets are 5 bucks, there arent many though. so you have to get it early

You won't hit 13's until you mod up some more. I had CAI, 91 oct. tune, long tube headers, x-pipe, and high flow cats, dyno'd at 300 rwhp (corrected to sea level), and the best I got was 14.005 on my 2005 GT.

Proper tires would have got me under 14, or just a nice cold night at the track, but all I had was the stock all seasons, and it was freaking warm out every track night I went, so the altitude density was high.

Ahh, I just read that the Bullitt has 3.73 gear ratio, you can definitely make under 14's then, I only had 3.55.

Secret Street now May 7 Start

The current rain has slowed us up in getting the timing system and washrooms up and running so we have rescheduled the first Secret Street event to May 7, 2010. There is some work being done to the track surface to try to fix bumps and keep traction consistent. We've already completed some work on the roadcourse and roadcourse pits.

Gates still open at 6:00pm with on track times of about 7:30 Tech closes at 9:30 so be in before then. Remember that cars must be mufflered and not make excessive noise after 10:30pm. There will be no special lanes for competition or unmufflered vehicles.

Secret street times at Race City have run from the 8 second range to 63 seconds (vintage Model A). Any vehicle can try. We hope you all get a chance to come out and try.

Well, the day is still here but Secret Street will not start today. It looks like the season will get under way on May 14. We still have snow in places and standing water with the accompanying mud in the pits. The timing system has been checked and is working well right now. We just need some better weather. they are geared alot differently, so off the line they are quick.

Nope, the car needs to be registered in YOUR name or in the case of that Budget Rental mustang, he had a signed letter on company stationary giving permission to race it. He was a Budget employee.
