Much easier than swearing at the stupid liquid bottle

I had no idea that the complexities of putting a small amount of liquid on a bolt would be so daunting for some.

:whipped:
I tend to goop it all over and waste a lot, then sit there and wonder if I applied enough.

1. Peel the tape from the spool.
2. Wrap the tape around the bolt.
3. Tear.
4. Toss it into your toolbox for the next time.
Thank goodness. I never would have known how to use it without the instructions.
There's a gel version of blue thread lock at Auto Value that I recently used, was pretty sweet.

A drop or one thin strip of liquid on a single side of the bolt is enough.

yea, see I tend to apply it to 6-7threads on the bolt, all the way around.
loctite expert I am not
I think i wrapped the screw too many times, but it still fits on. Can you put on too much?

There's also the glue stick version.

:hijack: I'll be rejoicing when there's a less messy version of anti-seize.

Pretty sure it's different stuff (performs differently)

the plumbers tape is just meant to gill the gaps between the thread AKA seal it.
loctite is more like glue that adheres to metal.
I used the gel, and rarely get it on my hands let alone make a mess.

Not to be an asshole, but I just don't find it that hard to put loctite on a bolt and then thread it in the hole... I have been working on my own cars for about 10 years now and I don't think I have ever gotten loctite on my hands, or anti-seize for that matter. For anti-seize I mean come on, it comes with a brush specifically to keep your hands clean.
