Specifically, a treadmill motor from a Precor 9.33i.

The motor on my treadmill is making a strange noise. I cleaned the brushes and blew compressed air into the motor to clean it the best I can without taking it apart. It's about 8 years old.

Sorry, I clicked the wrong forum. Can a mod move this to the appropriate section?

You can try grover and longmate on 12th street ne.

I know they service electric motors etc.

Can it be taken apart? Maybe you just need to oil up the moving parts inside with motor oil/machine oil.

Thanks. I'll give them a try.

Yes, there are two long bolts accessible at one end. However, I'm not sure what type of lube to use.

The clicking noise is what's puzzling. There's a click with each revolution of the motor.

Can you just sell it on Beyond and say it's a JDM treadmill? Some people find that jet engine noise pretty sweet.
