Would like to take a few seconds of your time, to thank all of you that supported me through my sisters cancer, and sadly she passed away April 13th. Her 6 month prognosis turned into an almost 8 year battle with a cancerous GBM brain tumor. My other sister in Calgary is fighting her cancer the best she can.

So do yourselves a favour if you have symptoms of anything please see your Dr.'s. Make sure your girlfriends/wives/sisters have all their tests up to date. Cervical Cancer/Ovarian cancer is a silent killer. Same with the men, prostate cancer doesn't just effect older men.

That is my preaching for the day

Sympathies & condolences to you & your family in this difficult time.

I just lost a very good friend of mine on April 18th at age 41, to leiomyosarcoma, a rare cancer, that originated in the reproductive system, so I also must stress testing early & often!

I am sorry to hear that, best of luck for your other sisters battle. Condolences to you and your family. She will live forever though the good times you have had. You are not preaching, just trying to make things better for everyone else.

I just came back from a funeral for a friends mum who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer.

I'll add that even if you don't have symptoms, an annual physical should be done.

Wow didn't expect to read this today. Rip to your sister and condolocense to u and your family.

My wife had cerivcal cancer, I think it was like 3 cysts but they removed them and she has to go every 6 months for checkups. Right now they see a bump I think by her lungs but there just monitoring it regularly. Yeah this is some scary stuff. I hope your other sister pulls threw

My sister here in Calgary is also terminal. She has Ovarian, coly/rectal , lung, liver, etc cancer. She let the cancer go to long and now it's too late. She just came home after a 6 month hospital stay. Which during the time suffered a stroke and has no mobility other than her right arm. She is home with 24 hour nursing care. Had to install a lift, ramp, garden door to get a wheel chair in and out. I would like to use my sister as a poster child for Pap tests, because she had symptoms and a simple test would have discovered it long ago.

I myself had cervical cancer and it was taken care of ASAP 10 years ago with no issues now.

Take care, all the best

My condolences on the loss of your sister, and best wishes for the one still fighting her battle. I lost my first wife to cancer, so I understand what a horrible disease it can be.
