Does this look like a proper tire repair job? I've never seen anything like it and am wondering WTF at the moment

thats a road plug......ment for emergency porposes only. i would never risk driving on a road plug for more then a few km. especially a performance tire(if i am correct that tire is a TOYO T1R)!!!! that tire is virtually trash now as with a performance tire by law you are only supposed to fix a tire with a patch and even then its pushing the limits of the tire. i have been in the tire game for countless years and i have only done this to one of my tires only to get me home(edmonton to red deer) and then i trashed the tire and got a new pair. whomb ever did this should be buying you a new tire(obliously the tire is quite worn so unless your going to keep the tire around for an emergency i would go back to the shop that did that and demand something in return for ruining your tire)

used to be standard practice for every shop to plug tires like that. now they are suppose to be patched from the inside. and yeah, that tire is done anyways...

I forgot to mention that this hole had been repaired 2yrs ago with a patch and it started to leak 2days ago (I dn't know if that's why it was done this way or not)

They're my z06 tires - assuming I don't do 150kph+ on them, are they safe to drive on? I know they're almost bald, but I'm convinced I can get another 2-3000kms on them if the patch isn't an issue.........
