Good.

I dont think thats a good thing. it means that the US is gonna have to be there longer and empose harsher controls on the civilians. I blame the guerrila's. They are hurting their own people...

sorry, this is probably going to be very unpopular statement.. .but if i was an iraqi i would probably be launching missiles at the US too... they had absolutely no right to invade iraq! iraq was a sovereign nation and although saddam was a bad guy that doesn't give the US the right to take over their country and install a puppet government just to secure access to iraq's oil... my opinion

Freedom fighters? I think not. Thats a propoganda term used to differentiate enemy terrorists from friendly terrorists. This is not a terrorist issue as they are not directly attacking civilians and non-combatants. They are guerilla fighters, same as vietnam and afghanastan(vs USSR), that are waging a war on the US. The US is using conventional soldiers. the terms just describe the method of combat, nothing more should be read into it. They are not fighting the people. You just have you definitions confused, no big deal.

As for the US attacking civilians, it happens (sometimes not an accident i believe), its despicable and it should never happen. the US media downplays it and sensationalizes american deaths. I personally think that is wrong. However, civilians are not the target of either side of this conflict. The opposing armies are. Granted the guerilla's are probably mainly iraqi, that doesnt mean its an all out war on Iraqi's.

My point in your quote was that the US does NOT want to be there any more than the guerilla's want them to be (It is costing WAY too much if you want an economic reason). Both sides want the US out. When they attack US troops it causes them to crack down and attempt to stop the death (on their side anyhow). This is more than understandable. No matter if its your fault or not, if somebody came at you with a knife, you would try and stop them.
