I called Lincoln today to schedule a service for my car. It currently has 49,000 kms on it.

This is what Ford recommends:

- Automatic transmission filter
- Automatic transmission filter kit
- Automatic transmission gasket
- Automatic transmission/transaxle service
- Change engine oil
- Inspect Tires for Wear, Air Pressure (including Spare) and Rotate
- Multi-point inspection
- Replace engine air filter
- Replace fuel filter
- Replace oil filter

They quoted me a price of $556.00 + GST for this. Does this seem a little high??? :dunno:

The shitty thing is if I was the original owner of this car I would have received 3 years of free services.

Price seems right, my WRX is up for maintenance in another 11,000kms (48,000kms) and I think they quoted me ~$500.00.

The warranty should be transferable to the new owner? or is it expired?

The warranty is transferred to me however the free services are not part of the warranty. :(

I updated the list of what is recommened by Ford. This was take from www.ford.ca.

The previous list was from a dealer site. This list seems a bit better since they are actually changing things not just 'inspecting'.

Hmmm weird, when I worked at Universal Ford Lincoln, it was 430$$ for a full service on a Lincoln LS.:dunno:

I would check the price for everything you listed at another ford-friendly shop, dealers like to bend you over sometimes.

Well there is only 2 Lincoln dealers in town. I'll call the other.

Can I take this to a regular Ford or does/should it be a Lincoln/Ford?

dude, oil change is like $30, fuel filter change is like $40, tranny fluid/fliter change i would expect to be about $40, and everything else u should be able to do yourself.

so it should cost $100, or $150 tops. id never dealer service stuff for this reason.

Agreed, unless you are getting it for free theres no reason why you can't do most of that stuff yourself ans save yourself a few bucks. IIRC chrysler wanted 80 bucks to do a tire rotation on the truck, buhahaha 80 bucks for something that would take 10 minutes on a lift, screw em.
