View Full Version : WRX first available in canada when ?

I've seen a 2000 GC8G (99-00) 4 door for sale, with turbo, WRX hood & WRX deck spoiler. That doesnt mean much, not hard to bolt on some parts and the right engine.

Was the bug eyed WRX was the first one here, or is this one legit ?

does not mean that the GC8G is not legit, could have came from the states (pretty sure they had them)

They did not. First WRXs were 2002 models just like in Canada. JDM models have to be 15 yrs old. Most likely what OP saw was a car with a WRX swap which is not that uncommon these days.

I saw this car parked on 17th ave, it looked really nice. Not JDM either.
