So were in the market for a cross over and were considering the following.

Venza vs RDX vs GLK

which one would you buy?

Venza reminds me too much of a station wagon, then again they all do.

RDX tons of technology, looks kinda small and dont know about repairs fi turbo goes

GLK nice, you can get a good price from the states high maintance costs.

if the RDX is too small, move up to the MDX.

I kinda like the Venza :dunno:

The others mentioned do not tickle my fancy.

Isn't there a huge roadblock to get MBs from the states?

I actually quite like the new FX37.

AWD system wise, you really can't beat Acura's SH-AWD. The only other torque vectoring AWD crossover is on the X5M/X6M.

Why are wagons bad?

Something like a loaded Jetta wagon TDI would be way more fuel efficient and wouldn't give up too much interior space to any of those crossovers, other than Venza maybe.

I voted Venza since it has decent room and utility and will be the most economical to operate. RDX isn't roomy at all and it's a thirsty little ute. With the GLK you end up paying too much for an average CUV.

Audi Q5 or Subie Outback. The Venza gets roasted in every review I have read when compared to the Honda Crosstour, and I am not crazy about the Honda so the Toyota would be a no go.

I'd buy a wagon over a crossover or SUV any day. FYI, it's the Golf wagon now, not the Jetta wagon.

Driven the GLK (rides like a lifted C-class because thats what it is)

Q5 could be a raised A4 for all I know...drive em both.

Saving money? Dodge Journey is the best seller of them all for a reason. Just sayin'.

I ended up buying an RDX last year because the dealership was doing substantial cash back, so a Tech RDX ended up costing me 10 grand less than the Q5 with similar options.
The GLK with slight upgrades that you'd think would be standard on a benz brought it over 50K, and maintenance costs are a bit higher.
I haven't had any problems with the RDX so far. I would have preferred a V6 over the 4 cylinder turbo, but the money I saved compared to everything else (EX35, Q5, GLK 350) made it a no brainer. SH-AWD did great all winter!

ZDX anyone? Haha.
I kinda like the styling as opposed to everyone.
However, I would assume rear visibility to be similar to a crosstour which is a big nono.
