Is it still called Singapore Sam's? I haven't been to that area in a while, but is the one that's on 32nd ave and just off of Barlow Trail still there and called Singapore Sam's or is it something else?

Also, does anyone know if they take resos on Sunday or is it strictly first come first served? Looking to have a bday here for someone for aorund 10 people or so.

not sure about the reservation part, but its still exactly the same inside, dim sum and all... I think they just changed their name after they got shut down twice to make it look like new management...

One of my Asian friends from high school gave me this advice when looking for a new restaurant (as a white guy)...

"If it's dirty, the service sucks and everyone has black hair, the food is probably stellar"

+1. T-Pot is all hype. There's way better places for cheap.

T&T dimsum is WAY better than T-Pot IMO and more cost-efficient.

The place that replaced Singapore Sams has pretty much the same menu but I believe it's different owners now.

The dim sum is pretty good. Not the best I would say but good value since their prices are better than most. If you go off times like before 10 or 11 in the morning dim sum is even cheaper.

Nope. I've said it before and I'll say it again; T-Pot is all hype.

Rip-off.

T-Pot/Forbidden City is ran by the chain and it's all hype. But their location kicks ass so I doubt they will miss any business.

T&T sucks. Cost the same as most restaurant but they give you a few pieces more.

The place on 32nd when SS used to be is ok on both price and quality. I will give it a 6/10.

If you like MSG, Tai Pan on centre isn't bad. Grand Isle in New Asia mall used to be good but on a decline ever since they charge too much and a few good Dim Sum restaurants popped up in the NW and took their business.

Dim Sum in Calgary is pretty sad, IMO.

I live 2mins from both Teapot and T&T.

Teapot is good food (not great) but way overpriced. I stopped going there months ago. Plus a beyonder on here posted a thread with a pic of his gf finding a used bandaid in their dish haha.

T&T dimsum is decent but they charge almost what you pay in a restaurant! Its not as cheap as many seem to think.

I would never touch that place on 32nd NE. Back when they were Sig sams, they were servigin dog meat.
