It would be interesting to get a couple of the worlds best 100m guys to try this.

Not for real. They are walking/running on a plexiglass ramp placed in the water.

It's an ad for Hi-Tec (the waterproof shoes).

I was wondering just based on the slow motion shot, where his steps are quite shallow, and then all of a sudden the next step falls right off... That and the fact they always enter the same spot and sink around the same spot..

:dunno:

You don't really believe it do you? This is classic internet viral video. Dynamite surfing anyone?

How do they manage to walk on water for 20 feet and then suddenly just drop off a cliff?

If you really dove into they physics you'd find that this is impossible to do.

It's an ad for Hi-Tec's water repellent shoes. All the gear they are wearing in the video is Hi-Tec.

Yep, there is no way this could happen. They keep running on the same patch of "water" where there are doubtless many submerged blocks. They could have at least sunk their platforms more than 2 locations.

All of the force to couteract the mg gravitational force must be from change in momentum of the water they run on (without a platform). If p=(change in water momentum), F=dp/dt=mg. They stay afloat for 4 seconds. Let's say they displaced water equal to their entire mass each second (yeah right, no waves). Even so, Vwater/1s=10m/s^2 so the final velocity of the water in the downward direction would be 10 m/s, or 36 km/hour. This means a volume of water essentially equal to the volume of a person would be traveling straight down at 36 km/hour. If they displace water that's a quarter of their mass, then that water must be traveling downward at 144 km/hour. Do you see waves proportional to that kind of disturbance, even after 4 seconds of running?

Nope; This is bullshit viral advertising for a product, strike it from the front page.

Look at the wave here (from the same source), he's stepping on something:

Lol, there are going to be masses of people trying to duplicate this now.
