I'm planning to head to Singapore for the F1 Races in September. I've never been to the races before and am not sure what tickets to buy. My options are:

Pit
$962
Turn 1
$962
Turn 2
$962
Republic
(Turn 3)
$888
Stamford
$671
Connaught
$522
Padang
$446
Esplanade Waterfront
$446
Bay
$222
Premier Walkabout
$297
Zone 4 Walkabout
$140

I'm into photography and am hoping to get some good photos there. I still haven't figured out if I can bring a 100-400mm lens yet, as it seems the rules change every year, but I'm hoping I can. Anyone have any advice for where to sit or ideas / pointers for making the most of the weekend? Right now I'm leaning towards the premier walkabout tickets for $300 as it sounds like they have bleachers set-up and you can explore the entire circuit (all 4 zones) but as I've never been, I'm really not sure!

No thoughts from anyone? General suggestions for people who have been to the races before (any race)? I'll likely buy my tickets today. Looking at buying at the Bay Grandstand as it includes access to Zones 3 & 4 as well.

I've got the same problem. Trying to decide between Germany or Hungary. Anyone been to those places?

If you're looking to take photos, don't go to Singapore. Even the pros standing right on the track have problems getting good photos for that race because it's at night and the cars are so fast. Look at all the high res singapore GP pics, they all have ISO cranked to at least 3200 or 6400 and are all fairly noisy pics.

As for lens, you can bring a 800mm and nobody cares lol.
