it was not me that got the ticket but someone i know. she was going 98 up shag. cops had a speed trap there. ticket was 98 in a 80 zone. what options do you have when you get a ticket like this? i've heard of pointts and talking to the crown prosector.... where abouts do you go to talk to the crown prosector?

ummm... you see. i didn't get the ticket.... so.... its not up to me what they want to decide to do. i'm just trying to help them.

the person that got the ticket has to fight it because they can't afford a higher insurance premium......

well what are you going to do then? you can't run away from a speeding ticket. you pay it by deadline or they take you to court. or so i've heard.

I wasn't telling you to pay the ticket, I was telling the person to. If thay can't afford to speed, don't speed.

There should be an address on the ticket which tells you were to contact them. You can locate the crown prosecutor there. "Provincial Court of Alberta". Hope that helps.

I think as soon as they have the ticket on file, you're free to go anytime. However long that takes, I couldn't say.

1. go to the court at olympic plaza
2. line up for the justice of hearing or whatever theyre called
3. with ticket in hand, say "i wana see the crown prosecutor"
4. go wait outside prosecutors office
5. prosecutor reduces the ticket
6. pay reduced ticket
