Hey everyone, I'm just looking for your thoughts on which color would be better on a 2010 Mazda 3 Sport GT (hatchback). I'm looking for a color that is relatively easy to take care of and touch up (paint) but also looks hot at the same time. I've pretty much narrowed it down to these two colors. I've seen both colors in person in dark and light conditions and I am on the fence on them both. White is nice but the paint chips show up as black and are more noticeable. Silver hides the chips better and seems to be more of a classier color. But white is hot but I saw the thread about the industrial fallout rusting on white cars and showing more easily. My idea of fun isn't claybarring a car for hours. I need your opinions, because I really like both colors. I've already ordered the car in silver but since its at sea still I can change the color according to the dealer. Thanks for your input!

I think you should go for white, it's opposite to black and better than silver, and everyone has those colors. I have a white car, not any harder to keep clean than a black car.

Silver sucks. Its the color for people that don't care what their car looks like.

So are you saying that a white car is equivalent to maintenance to a black car. I always thought black cars were the hardest to maintain, followed by white then silver.

Thanks for your input everyone!

I have white and black. To the op I'd go with white, I'd get bored with silver. White is really easy to maintain in my experience. Black on the other hand, forget about it!

That's the kind of silver on the car. It's not a boring silver, but more darker shade. Looks classy.

Used to have an 07 Civic with colour similar to that, and my little bros current car is that exact colour (Mazda as well) and I don't like it so much, but yes it does hide paint chipping well.

I guess it's a little easier to clean, but any color in Calgary, especially darker ones will get noticeably dirty very quick.

Black car is a bitch to maintain but it stands out if you keep it nice and shiny all the time.

Black, it is the only colour that does not show the Mazda smile. Nice car, bleedin' front end puts me off the 3 until they get some braces on it.

Thats a good looking silver. White is just a fad you'll be the same color as all the work truck and vans as well as the boy racers! ;)

I like white because it's so easy to take care of and paint defects, swirls, etc are harder to detect compared to darker colors. I haven't had a black car for a long time and after owning one again I remember why. In a dusty city like calgary with roads full of gravel, salt, dust, etc. it's impossible to keep a black car clean.
