Interesting facts about the Veyron:
1) The Veyron is 50/50 aerospace & automotive engineering.
2) The engine actually makes 3,000 HP... 2,000 of it as waste heat.
3) The rear frame is bolted to the passenger compartment with only 14 titanium bolts.
4) Every Veyron is road tested 500km before delivery to find every little issue. Even at top speed.

That fact about the 3000 HP is a bit misleading....
All internal combustion engines are only 25-35% efficient, with the other ~75% of the energy consumed going to heat/noise etc.
So even a 100 HP car actually "produces" 300 HP.
2000 HP of heat is still a mammoth amount of energy to try and dissipate though. That car impresses me every time I see it.
