Depends on how you define "good":dunno:

I thought drifting was the fastest way around a corner if done correctly, but it's not used much because drifting burns way to much tire, nerver the less the best way to corner is outside to inside to outside.

ok, this is how most people do it. But most people are wrong.

a "good" turn will all depend on the corner, what is before the corner and what is after the corner.

A corner following a long straight away into a slow portion of the track : sacrafice the exit to keep top speed up. late braking, late apex.

A corner onto a long straight : set up so that you can get on the gas early. early braking, early apex.

Corner into another corner (chicane) : set up for the exit of the last corner.

generally slight understeer is always the fastest way.

blah blah blah...

Only in rally with limited traction

Actually the theory behind drifting in rallying is that becasue 98% of the corners are blind(meaning you can't see the exits) that with drifting you are able to see around the exit sooner incase there is another obstical (ie:a huge rock, another turn, a rolled over car, a moose(FD), a idiotic specatator)

Drifting is definitely not faster. Your wheels are sliding the entire time so you don't have full traction.

Anything more than 5-10 degrees of slip angle is WAY too much on pavement, you're just scrubbing off speed and losing time. On a good, hard corner exit the car should be sliding a little bit since the tires actually work best at a slight slip angle, but anything more than a little sliding is slow unless you are on a loose surface.
