Sony is releasing this in the summer, I think they had a previous model that was a rather poorly designed as far as the iPod chamber went. This looks to be a keeper, no more loose iPods sitting on my car seat. Priced below $200 as well.

iPods do get fairly hot when used for extended periods, so I am a tad concerned about this aspect as the chamber has no airflow.

Sooo stupid.
The point of a iPod is so I can easily pick my songs through the menus of the ipod.
Why would I want to be picking my songs through a 2" display?
Id rather have the plugged in ipod so I dont have to scroll though every song on that little sony screen.

werd, selecting a song from the HU is a pretty big pain, it takes forever to scroll through

on my brothers E90, he gets a pretty awesome interface through his nav, i think it is like 15 lines or something

I think screen size is very important, this SONY does not do it for me. The idea is there, someone needs to run the right way with it.

Pretty much this is just a Big CD now.
You still gotta pick all your songs exactly like you were using a CD.
Only this time you have 200 songs instead of 20 to try and scroll through hahaha.

Whatever happened to putting the iPod in the glove compartment?

It worked well for iPod-dedicated decks, similar to mine.

That's how mine is.. Pioneer deck - wire in the glove compartment - ipod stashed in there.. I personally prefer to use USB drives for music but that's just me..

No airflow, tiny display, fiddly cable instead of proper "dock", oh and it's a SONY product. FAIL!
