I'm loving this. Take the WRX and add luxury! Awesome.

i can see it... Saab already has a few powerful engines that will probably be used. They have a 2.3l engine putting out 250hp. also a 2.0l engine putting out 210hp.

I didnt realize GM and subaru were that close though...

Its going to be awesome. What you guys cant see if the one behind the people talking, the one that looks like a Golf. This is going to be their entery level to the SAAB line up.

i dont mind them using the same engine and all but cmon all they did was take peices from other subarus and pasted it all together.. and change the asthetics just abit. it would be cool if they put the engine in their signature hatch. but cmon that 9-2 is a wrx wagon with changed front bumper, hoodscoop, and rear bumper and some 17's. the interior is slightly like the 02-03 wrx. two tone color buckets, the dash is straight from a suabru forester, and the steering wheel is a sti wheel just rebagde..
its sad that a company like gm can just rebagde the car with asthetics instead of designing a whole new car

They're not putting the ecotecs in the 9-2, they're the exact flat 4s that subie uses. I heard a while ago the base model will have the NA 2.5 and the upscale will be the 2L FI from the WRX, not STi motor.

Diff exterior and interior, that's pretty much it.

Its just a way for GM to get an entry level SAAB on the market

A luxury WRX is a good idea... So are you saying that this car will have the WRX motor? What are the specs on this 9-2?

It totally looks like the evo...
