never thought I would say 5 mill is not bad for a house. But for 5555 sq ft on 2 acres in the city. Not bad

For some reason I always imagined there to be a full sized ring in the basement....

Thats what I was looking for. Thought the 'dungeon' was supposed to be down there. Guess they renovated the basement after Stu died.

Apparently, the dungeon is still there

It has been refurbished inside, but the legendary dungeon, a specially outfitted, custom-built basement where famous wrestlers trained over the years, has been preserved.

The ring was outside, what you see the pics is what it looked like when Stu was around except for the weight set. It was taken before the house was sold by the Harts.

Hm...the Dungeon has been renovated. For one thing, the holes in the ceiling have been patched up, the dark green mat is gone, and the woodgrain panelling on the walls is gone.

Favourite televised memory of the Dungeon is the "Dungeon Match" between Owen Hart and Ken Shamrock in July 1998 (Fully Loaded PPV) -- Owen bounced Shamrock's head off the wall repeatedly (which Shamrock sold in a comical fashion), the Owen clocked Shamrock over the head with a dumbell and used his other arm to make it look like Shamrock was tapping out

Found the video! This is what the Dungeon used to look like...

That's a great looking house. I can only hope to one day see a belly-to-belly suplex into an armbar in an MMA fight.

I had a tour of this house when it was an open house fundraiser thing about 5 years ago. The reno looks amazing. The original house when the Hart's owned it was very run down. It was beat! Trust me. The dungeon was beat, pipes hanging everywhere, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I believe there was an oversized resturant type kitchen downstairs if I remember and that was gross too.
Great reno whoever did it!

Exterior looks ugly (still) IMO, especially for $5M.

Oh shit, that's right. I remember my dad drove by and pointed out the Hart Mansion when I was little and there was a ring outside. I also recall how run down the place looked and how disappointed I was considering Brett Hart was kinda like a movie star when you were a kid.

Lawlz. Oh, Dan Savern. Getting trained in The Dungeon is an honor as many wrestlers went through that basement: Chris Jericho, Lance Storm to name a few.

For 5mil, you're mostly paying for the prestige but hey, it's a pretty cool house.

Nice match! that was a heck of a shoot. Very stiff. I’d hate to have been down there telling them how “fake” wrestling is hehe. Doubt I’d have made it out alive :P You can tell guys like Owen would have made it in MMA back in the day alongside Ken
