New Project Idea

Hello everyone,

Over the course of the summer i plan to do a VW Beetle To Dune Buggy Conversion. Once i have acquired a 1960-1970 VW Beetle i will strip it down to the floor pan and then do any repairs necessary and install the new springs/shocks/Mags/ and possibly a new suspension. So my question is where would be the best place to find a older beetle for around 1000 to 2000 bucks to start?

If you haven't found one by august, check out the Das Volks car show, plenty of people there will know exactly what you need. And the dune buggies always show up to that.
