Not sure if this is the best place, but can someone guide me on information on becoming a Commissioner of Oaths.

How do I get my certification, how long does it take, and where do I go to get my application?

After a quick web search, this was all I could find of any relevance. Taken from Alberta Justice website:

The Official Documents and Appointments office of Alberta Justice appoints Commissioner for Oaths in Alberta. Those interested in becoming a Commissioner for Oaths can obtain an application package by calling (780) 427-5981 in Edmonton (dial 310-0000 for toll-free connection anywhere in Alberta).

I think that it's pretty easy to get. The senior secretary/assistant at an insurance company I worked at last year was one. I was under the impression that all they had to do was a comprehensive background check, the purpose of being one, and a small fee....

No real point, just interested in having it I guess. I heard it was relatively easy to get, application, fee, and a quick test and you get your certification. Looks good on a resume.
