Some with (some) extra time create a graph which shows salary vs company performance or vs shareholder value?

All executives should work on base salary of 0 and get compensated by performance of companies they run.

Number 23 on the list is my next door neighbor, no wonder he can afford an $85,000 sport court and drive Phaneuf's "old" Land Rover.
I must be in the wrong business :dunno:

Well, pretty impressive by this guy to take such a huge cut:

At the extreme end of the cutbacks was Murray Mullen, who in April cut his cash salary as co-chief executive to $1 for the rest of the year, following a round of layoffs at transportation firm Mullen Group in the midst of a disastrous slowdown. “This request resulted from the economic downturn and the cost-cutting measures which were implemented in Mullen Group,” the company said in its annual disclosure document filed online. “Mr. Mullen has indicated that his base salary will remain at $1.00 for the 2010 financial year.” Mullen’s overall 2009 compensation came in 93 per cent lower, at $123,853 from $1,797,140 in 2008. His base salary fell 69 per cent to $92,308 from $300,000. Read more: http://www.calgaryherald.com/business/Calgary+CEOs+take+cuts+2009/3029139/story.html#ixzz0o3a8CCNQ

Daughters get not much of the cut, it is the wife you want to be in bed with. Divorce still pays well, always has.

Most execs on that list make well under $1MM/yr in base salary which is very reasonable for someone who's worked hard to get to the top. I'm sure the other part of the compensation is related to performance of each company.

Yeah, the largest part of their compensation is stock units and options, which are both performance related.
base salary isn't very impressive for most of these dudes.
