Off roading I got a slight gas on one of my tires. Kal Tire refused to patch it as it was in the fold between the sidewall and the rubber.

Now I dont really want to chuck a $400.00 tire for a tiny hole but I dont know what to do with it. I was going to patch it and use it as a spare but the 35 has to be worn down to fit into the spare area. Plus I would think I would want a good spare, not a patched one.

Ideas how I couldnt waste it? First thing I was thinking was for a kick ass tire swing.

Cheers,

when the hole is on the side wall its risky to fix it and drive on it go with the tire swing dont indanger your self or others on the road if it pops or something while u drive id rather spend the $400 on a new one then have a law sute on my hands

that is not my question at all. I have had a new tire for 3 weeks. The old one is sitting in my garage.

Wow I fail at reading, I swear I didn't see the tire swing sentence at all. LOL my bad, it would be sweet though.

^^ haha main problem is the space under the truck for a spare can handle a 34" tire so most people put the old 35's under there. I have a 'full' spare at 32

Cheers,

Is the puncture closer to the lip of the tire? Contact the tire manufacture, if the tires are fairly new. I've had 3 off-road tires punctured on the sidewall, I was able to send 2 tires back to the manufacturer to have them cut around the puncture and pour new rubber onto it. Cost me a total of $75 to have it fixed and shipping. When I did get the tires back, I could barely tell where the repair was made. They refused to fix the 3rd tire as the puncture was closer to the lip.

Just another option for you.

There should be some kind of manufacturer warrenty on the thing. I ripped a sidewall on my BFG the first weekend I had it and BFG replaced it with a new unit.
