I'm trying to get a feel as to what the response would be to a tool rental service, specifically for BMW specialty tools. I have several of these things and would be willing to rent them out for a rate plus shipping if the response is good. What I have currently:
- E36 fan clutch tool
- Sockets for transmission/differential drain plugs
- Peake SRS and Code readers
- B90-BMW wheel bearing tool
My thoughts were two week rental periods on everything but the code readers, which would be 1 week. Deposit is replacement value on the tool, refunded upon return. Rates would vary depending on how expensive the tool is (say, $20 for the readers, $50 for the bearing puller).
So, if you're interested in such a thing, let me know. I'd use the profits to add to the list as necessary.
