Is there anyone local in Calgary or any shops that can do a proper rust repair? Im looking to get the rear 1/4's eventually fixed on my little civic hatch, I just need someone to cut out the rusted area and weld in the new piece, and then my friend and I can finish the sanding/painting etc quite well. How difficult is it to do this? It seems like there aren't many around who will do this procedure.

They won't do it cause the rust will always come back

Well they will, but they won't warranty their work obviously for the above reason.

if you want to fix it properly you would have to remove the spot welds and cut out the quarter panels and replace them with new ones.

Even then, if the cancer is deep enough, even that will make it rust since you'll probably have more than the quarters to replace.

Well that sucks because the rust is airly bad on the one side. I don't think it would be worth it then, at the least I can just drive and enjoy the car for a while until the rust eats it away lol. Here is how it looks, its not a closeup for now but it should do.

Ill ghet some close ups in the next day or so see what you guys think. I do have another 94 hatch with little rust, mabey Ill just swap everything over to that car if it rusts too much.
