RECOVERED (again): 1991 jeep cherokee (SCU-841)

Hey guys, not too sure where to put this...

Anyways, about an hour ago my friends 1991 Jeep cherokee was stolen from in front of their house in Kingsland.

The car itself is not worth much, however the sentimental value to the owner is astounding...

the car is BURGANDY in color and says DOUGLER on the drivers side door, just underneath the door handle. Also has a ski rack and a ton of stickers on the rear, most notably is the one that says My ski's cost more than this car. The rear bumper is also dented.

I am trying to locate a picture as we speak...

IT HAS BEEN FOUND!!! :D

The steering column was smashed, and the deck was stolen. Other than that everything is in the same shape it was in!

well guys... believe it or not... the car was RE-STOLEN!

My buddy went back home, called a tow truck and waited about an hour to head back to the car... sure as heck... cars gone.

Impound lot was already called, no one has seen it.

The location it was found in was Chinook park, on 80th ave and elbow drive. If everyone in the area can please keep an eye out that would be great.

That sucks, big time. I've seen this a number of times because the fuckhead that stole it is usually lurking nearby and has ditched it for a short time.

Tell your buddy that when/if he finds it again, to call the police to recover it. They will take it off the system and stay with it until a tow truck is there.. sometimes people want to stay with their own vehicles and that's fine, but if Joe Crackhead comes back and wants that car so he can go do a robbery or a b&e, we don't encourage people to take preventative actions into their own hands - so their car ends up gone again.

Sorry to hear. The thief probably just left it there instead of bringing it home or whatever. Were there any security cameras nearby you could check?

The thing is, he did call the cops! and they showed up to the site, but they ended up leaving when my buddy did (according to him) so I have no idea... I thought he was playing a joke on me to be honest...

Vehicle has been once again recovered!!

It was found in dover this time... all 4 tires slashed but otherwise fine.
