Remaining 2010 Pontiac vehicles carry cash purchase rebates

GM dealers are clearing out the remaining 2010 Pontiac vehicles—the G3, the G5 and the Vibe—and if you’re planning to pay cash on your next car purchase, these three models carry some interesting deals.

Photo: Pontiac

The Pontiac G3, available in four-door sedan or five-door hatchback body styles, gets a $6,000 cash purchase rebate. As such, a brand-new base G3 can be yours for as little as $7,950.

The Pontiac G5, available as a two-door coupe or a four-door sedan, benefits from a cash purchase rebate of $7,000 to $7,500, depending on trim. A brand-new base G5 goes out the door for $8,895.

The Vibe which is, in our humble opinion, the best car of the remaining Pontiac line-up, gets a cash purchase credit of $4,000 to $4,500, depending on trim. A Toyota Matrix clone for as little as $12,895 sounds like a good deal to us.

These prices obviously don’t include freight and dealer prep, taxes and other charges that aren’t included in new-vehicle MSRPs.

Keep in mind, though, that the termination of the Pontiac brand will have a negative effect on the resale value of these vehicles. If you’re planning on keeping your new car for a long time, this shouldn’t be much of an issue.

GM Canada’s vehicle locator will help you find a new 2010 Pontiac in your area.

those are the worst car money can buy.... I read somewhere that GM made too many, and at the rate it was selling it would take 3/4 years to sell out the ones that were already made....
