Looking at purchasing an 02 330ci (e46). Anyone know of local mechanics other than the obvious kal-tire and bmw calgary that do good pre-purchase inspections. I dont want the obvious does it leak anything, how good are the tires kinda inspection. Im looking for something more thorough. As well does anyone know of anything specific I should be checking out on this e46. Its about to hit 160,000kms im assuming something is due for service. Thanks!!

The advantage of a dealership is that they have access to maintenance records and recall information that a mom and pop shop won't.
They also try to find every little thing that's broken along with a hefty estimate for it that can be used to bargain further.

I use Integron Auto Centre in the SE off of 114th just down the hill from Deerfoot Inn and Casino.
It's privately owned, my neighboors work there. They did a great inspectionon my last purchase. Told me what condition the major parts were in and when they would need replacing.
