Seating Position

Over the past week I have noticed a trend in the seating position of young male drivers in sport compacts. They have their left wrist resting on the top of the steering wheel and they are leaning to the right such that they are nearly in the center of the car - almost as if they are trying to rip one past their left butt cheek. What's up with this trend? Are they thinking they look more "gangster" with this driving style?
