Ok so I just got rims put on my 350Z and was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a photo shoot of it. I know it's raining and all but I thought it would also make for a pretty sick shoot, is possible at all.

Eventually I'd like to do a proper shoot in the nice weather and all, but just figured it would be something different in the rain and some of the pro photographers can make it look even amazing with their skills and all.

So if anyone is interested in doing so, please let me know and also how much they would like to charge. And if you rather go and sit at a pub or something or have a 12 pack of your fav. kind when you do it, I am down with that as well.

Thanks

PM'd you, I was actually thinking of ways I could do a shoot right now in the rain without soaking my gear. Umbrellas for the win :)

I would be most impressed if you did a rig shoot in the wet! :)

lol

lol If I had a wide angle lens I would be. But alas I do not :( Anybody want to lend me one?

I'd be more concerned about not grinding all the crap that ends up on the car when the roads are wet in to the paint with the suction cups than keeping your gear dry...but that's just me.

Alright that was a good shoot Dave. I knew the rain idea would be good, cause of the effects you can get and what not. Can't wait to see the finished pictures.

Ok dave......... im impressed :)

To be honest not in a million years would I dare trying a rain shoot especially a mount moving shoot.

Kinda makes me want to go back to shooting cars when i see something fun like this.

Great Job.

Great Job. That photo was taken while I was sitting in a isuzu rodeo down stoney trail. I didn't have a wide angle lens so no rig shots were done.

good shot, but i wish there were more of the wet road and water spray in the shot.

also gray roofline and overcast sky dont really mix, but then there isnt much you can do.

in the second moving shot the wipers being up is a little distracting, and the grey really couldn't been helped so it's a meaningless nitpick honestly. Pretty good results for the conditions all around.

The stationary shot I would have MAYBE gone a little wider...give the car some breathing room in the frame, but it may not have worked any better that way...hard to say.

there really isnt much you can do since everything is gray, so given the conditions those are good shots.

just some suggestions and thoughts,
- since you are shooting the shots on stoney trail, maybe a shot under the overpass would help the contrast. not sure, but perhaps worth a try
- since everything is gray, a high key shot might work. again not sure if it would work
- since its raining and one of the most interesting things is the wet ground, perhaps emphasize the water and ground to distinguish it from a "normal" shot

just some ideas, rooting for op to improve. :)

I have some wider shots of the static shot, but for some reason the background I am failing to do anything good with. It's just too busy, and blacking it out looks horrendous so that's the one I chose to throw up quickly. I'll figure something out.

Take another picture of stormy clouds and photoshop said clouds into the background. I think some angry clouds would make that photo look awesome.

about the clouds...I made an edit on another forum on daves pic.

I should have downsized the car picture to the size of the image I pulled off my flickr, thus why the clouds don't look as crisp.
