View Full Version : Ignition Immobilizer Install?

I am thinking about importing a US vehicle. I have done this 4 times now, but this will be my first vehicle that doesn't meet the RIV requirement of having an immobilizer.

I contacted LAD's Auto Repair (or something like that) in Calgary and they was $750 to do the install.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Just get an alarm installed. They almost all have a starter kill and you can get one for a hell of a lot less than $750.

An alarm doesn't meet the requirements of the RIV. The y are pretty specific......
